stolen train crashes into home in Sweden

A bizarre incident involving an electric mutiple unit of the Saltsjobana (Salt Lake Railway)

from the Wall Street Journal:-

STOCKHOLM—A young woman charged with cleaning a commuter train instead appears to have stolen the empty train from a depot and driven it until it derailed and crashed into a house in a Stockholm suburb, local officials said.
An injured person was found by the train and sent to a hospital in an ambulance helicopter, local police said, adding the injured person was also detained for endangering the public. Police said it was unlikely that anybody except the driver was on the train at the time of the accident, and no other injuries were reported.
Local police received an alarm call around 2.30 a.m. that a derailed train had collided with a building in the suburb of Saltsjobaden.

The privatized railway company Arriva lied about the story. It turned out to be the opposite from what they first told the press, that the cleaning women had stolen the train. Instead was the reason bad security routines and entirely the responsibility of the company. All media in Sweden spread the story about the crazy and probably criminal women while she still was uncoscious. Now they all state that it was a great mistake to listen to the company and not check the story. The cleaning women is still as far as I know unconscious but the press has now, together with the company stated she is innocent. If I got it correct, the systems for starting the train was uncorrectly active and the system for stopping the train was not in order. When the cleaning lady did what she should do, cleaned also behind the dirvers seat this combination of mistakes by others with security routines, and finally with other words the responsibility of the company, made the train start and then it was not possible to stop.
